The week after school started and two weeks after moving to Pasco, Tealani came down with appendicitis. She had been sick at school and had gone to the nurses office twice until they finally called me and had me pick her up. She's not usually a complainer so I knew something was wrong. Luckily we took her into the ER right away and it turns out that she had to have her appendix removed at 2:00am. Thank goodness it didn't leak or rupture. We were up all night with her. We hadn't even moved into our house yet. We were staying with some friends so it was a little rough.

Getting up and around so her surgery site wouldn't tighten up. She thought she was the queen that day. She could eat as many popsicles and whatever she wanted to order from the hospital. They spoil them there (Of course we end up paying for it).

She only stayed in the hospital for not even 24 hours. I was glad to get her out. Later that day we went to Shelton to pick up all our stuff. We didn't give her much recuperation time. She didn't seem to mind though. She was just glad she wasn't in excruciating pain.
