Catching up

So here are a few of the things that have happened since...well...January, that I meant to post but never did. But I promise, just a quick recap for posterity's sake.

So here we are waiting for Israel's game to start. John was timing them to see who could dribble the fastest up and down the sidewalk.
Just posing...
My camera was just a point and shoot and the lighting was so terrible cuz really, it's not me, I'm a great photographer...
Well, at least better than John-taking a pic of me coaching Te'alani's basketball team and of course it just happens to be my backside... They were a fun group of girl's but man those hormones kick in at an early age!!
Ahhh...the pinewood derby. I think enough has been said.
Helping each other out at the park. It was during those beautiful sunny days in March.

Writing stories is Nyah's favorite thing...they may not make sense but they are so dang CUTE!

Singing at school plays. It was a cute little play...don't recall what it was but they (Te'alani and Kiana) did great.
John's norm during the school year. I swear that thing is practically attached...do you think they can graft those things into your skin?

Israel studying hard, I think he "hurt" his wrist...probably by doing too much homework!
This was Wyatt's second year in track. Last year it did not go so well. But this year he decided to try the mile. The first time he ran it he got 6:03 or somewhere around there. So I decided to brag encourage him and told him that when I was in 7th grade I ran a 5:58 mile and that the record still stands today at my old middle school (okay, I'm not really sure about that, but it was still the record 10 years ago, does that count?). So the next track meet he ran the mile in 5:53. Then the next 2 weren't so good because the wind was blowing like crazy. So here we are at Ochoa Middle School waiting for Wyatt to run...my heart pounding just thinking about it. He starts to stretch...

Then off they go...and he's off to a quick start. John and I thought for sure he would burn out but he just kept plugging along. I was shaking so nervously. My stomach was churning like crazy as I was screaming cheering him on.

He kept his pace all the way through and even had enough to kick it in a bit at the end. I think I was the proudest mom on the earth at that moment. He was so incredible...and his time? well, it was 5:38 15 seconds off his last PR. 15 seconds do you realize how hard that is in just two weeks? It was A-MAZING!!!

And obviously his "peeps" thought so too!

Hi Casja!! Let me first say how darn lucky you are that I'm commenting on your awesome blog w/ one minute left in the NBA finals! With that said...wait a sec. this game is too close...timeout. Ok...you have so done so many amazing projects lately! They look great. The family is as cute as ever!! As for us..we too are doing great and not sure if you heard but Carl is now known as 'Officer Kennerley'. Yep that's right & he's lovin every minute of it! As for me, I'm just so happy he's found something that he's passionate about, it almost outweighs the danger factor...almost!!

Hope you are all well. BTW, how's the adoption process going?
xoxo Kris
