NYC

Téalani and I went to NYC together at the end of March (with my friend Jennifer who was going to a music conference)...just for fun. It was a mommy-daughter excursion that was both fun and exhausting. I promised each of my kids that they could go on one trip with me. This was hers. They all want to go to NYC but after this one...I'm NYC'd out!!
Waiting in SeaTac

The taxi ride to and from Newark, NJ...$87.00
We rode that subway like we were pros. I love the subway!

Construction of the New World trade Center

The Smurf's outside Toys R Us. Should have known it would cost us just to have a pic taken...

Our excursion over to Liberty Island and Ellis Island
church
Taking a break to eat at Chipotle
Washington Square

Grand Central and The Brooklyn Bridge
We were so exhausted that we didn't even make it halfway over, but at least far enough to say we walked it.

FAO Schwartz...an expensive (but cool) toy store!

Jaqueline Kennedy Onassis Reservoir in Central Park

Mary Poppins...I do NOT recommend it, but the Hunger Games (which we were waiting to see in the Ziegfeld Theatre)...definitely!

Got the late night munchies on a wet NYC night!

Museum of Natural History
Central Park
 Central Park
One of the entrances to Central Park
It was great spending all that time with Téalani, if only she wouldn't have asked "where we going now?" every five minutes and "When are we going shopping?", it would have been perfect. But tweeners can't be perfect and neither can a mother, for I am not a shopper. In that department, she got the wrong mom, but we love each other to death and it was a wonderful experience. I would definitely do it again...in another city!

Looks like you had so much fun! I can't wait for the time when Kalena and I can do this kind of stuff. For now, we have to stick with the little kids movie's and the kiddie pools.
