My son Iz is often left on my back burner. Yes, I'm afraid it's true. I, once again, shall not receive the "mother-of-the-year" award. Bummer. Back to Iz. So the other morning I am sleeping...well, I might add, when all of a sudden I wake up, look at my watch and notice that it's 6:50 and that it's time to get the kids up and check on Kekoa. So I wake up the girl's, go down the hall to check on the boys, and there is no one in the room (Wyatt has left for school already). I am not panicked but a little surprised that Kekoa is not in his crib. As I hobble down the stairs on account of two bad knees, I hear the TV and a couple little squeals. I walk in the family room and there sits Iz with Kekoa, watching cartoons. It was the cutest thing. Well, I guess Kekoa had woken up about 6:30 so Israel just picked him up and brought him downstairs to watch TV. You see, baby always cries when he wakes up. He sleeps through the night so of course he's starving in the morning, but for some reason that morning he let Israel take care of him without feeding a him a bottle. I was so grateful to Israel that he let me sleep. It made me remember what a big heart that kid has. He is so...well, really I just don't have the words to describe how I feel about the kid.
He's really taking to the piano-despite the fact that I am his teacher. He loves it. It's the first thing he does when he gets home from school. I might add that the kid has natural talent. In two days he has his songs down. I thought Te'alani would be the star pupil, but, although I won't admit this to her, I think Israel will pass her up rather quickly. So here's to my Izzy who has a VERY special place in my heart
I LOVE YOU MAN!!!!!
