Wyatt's an official teenager!

I guess I'm a little behind again. Not really surprising, but when your son's birthday is in July and you don't post it until September that's getting near pathetic. Anyway, for birthday's in our house we don't do a lot, we're pretty laid back. We have cake and ice cream with the family and maybe, very rarely, we invite our friends over. Notice I didn't say HIS friends. Well, this year was a little too "laid back". I made the cake, but had forgotten to get frosting (I'm not one to make it from scratch), so John, last minute ran to the store. Then, we forgot the candles so John stood there with the lighter and had Wyatt blow out the lighter. It was hilarious. Poor, poor Wyatt. I think he'll always remember this birthday though. I know I will.

This fall was Wyatt's first year playing football. I was so excited for him. He did really well for never playing the game. There were so many kids that played that they had two huge 7th grade teams. He was on the B team but first string offense and defense.
I didn't get many pictures because I don't have the greatest camera so this was the best I could do. I think most of them were taken during half time or while he was on the sidelines, this is a rare shot indeed.
Wyatt, you make your mom proud!!

Surfer Dude

At the end of the summer we decided to experiment with Wyatt's hair and so we bleached it. He looked like a different person, like we picked him up in California-the little surfer dude.
