Sisters

Aren't sisters the best? This past weekend I was able to take a trip to Denver and spend time with Nezhone, Shara, and my mom. Several times I had asked Maile if she'd fly to Denver and join us but she said she couldn't because Cliff had classes and there was no one to watch all the kids AND there was no way she could pay for all of them to fly over. So, Friday night Nezhone, mom, Josh and I were at Jose O'shea's eating free tacos (with a purchase of drinks-we opted for Raspberry smoothies YUM!), we were keeping an eye out for Shara to join us. As I look down to see if she's coming up the stairs, I thought to myself I think Shara's here, but then I noticed the lady had a baby...Shara doesn't have a baby-so, obviously not her. Not two seconds later that "lady with the baby" is walking behind Shara and it's Maile!!! Yay! What a GREAT surprise! She had brought her youngest son with her. I just thought it was weird that seeing her from behind, as she was walking up the stairs, that my first thought would be that she was one of my sisters AND it turns out to be true! It must be that sisterly bond.

It was a wonderful relaxing weekend even though Nezhone was suffering from severe morning sickness. Here are just a few of our activities:

*Seeing Sherlock Holmes (the second time for me), and Leap Year. Thanks Shara for the free movie. It's nice to have an "in" at the theatre. Too bad you live so far away from us we'd "use" you all the time!
*Shopping at the ARC (I have to go there every time I visit- It is the best thrift store EVER! Almost brand new clothes for at most $3.00. It's AMAZING what some people donate! Thanks ARC for your 50% off Saturdays! I LOVE YOU!!!)
*Eating out at Pei Wei's and Jose Oshea's. Mmmmm delicious!and best of all mom's cooking-Thanks mom! It's nice to have you cook for us again.
*Finding my new favorite craft store-HOBBY LOBBY. I could have spent hours in there. But alas no luggage room and no money. Too bad you are also so far away from me.
*Staying up LATE (like 4am) talking and catching up.
*but BEST of all is the laughter shared thru the entire weekend!

We are truly the best of friends and I am so grateful to have such wonderful sisters and a great mom! Thank you Cliff, my super BIL, for using your sky miles to send Maile to Denver. I'd like to say I owe you one, but I'm afraid of what you might demand from me. So here's to NO IOU's!

Us at Maile's wedding. I couldn't find any of my pictures with all four of us so this one has to do.

Sisters are the BEST!! We only have one daughter and I feel sad knowing she doesn't have any sisters. :( I think that is a beautiful sister of those beautiful Bandman girls. I bet you guys have so much fun!

I love sisters, and I love Sisters Weekends. Sounds like a blast. How fun to see movies for free. So glad you are back! Jack saw Hobby Lobby in Kentucky. He went in hoping it'd be Hobby Town. I told him to try and find me something. I want to go there sometime! I'm sure he'll come home empty handed!

Kristen, if you ever do that SIL get together can I come to? Can't we just say that John is Steve's "brother"?
