Spring Break pt. 2

San Francisco-
So here we are at our first stop on our California tour. I have always wanted to see SF but have never had the opportunity to go so this was the perfect time. After checking into our lovely hotel we took off on foot to check out the sights(the kids were NOT happy about that one). You would think that after being cooped up in the van for 6 hours they would be happy to take a little walk.
So off we went...
Taking pictures here and there (I let the kids take my point and shoot so we could get pix from their point of view-those will be posted later)...
...waiting for some NBA players to exit a hotel(didn't stick around too long)...
...waiting for the trolley...
...at Lombard street-"the crookedest street" (Wyatt kept trying to correct my English and I had to keep reminding him that that was what it was called)...

...at Fisherman's Wharf...
...man with crazy car painted with scenes from SF...

...taking in the sandy beach...
...and just kickin'it watching me take pictures of everyone...

...and that was Saturday.

So Sunday we went to church (can you believe that some other visitor knew John? They served a mission together. Such a small world) and then decided to see a few more sights before we left for LA...

...here we are at Alamo Square in front of the Painted Ladies (for some reason that name just does not conjure up images of 7 Victorian style homes, but an entirely different image)...
...watching Wyatt do something at the playground in Alamo Square...must be entertaining...

...and last but not least taking in the sights at the Golden Gate Bridge...

...and Alcatraz...
...a nice view of SF and my beautiful brood...

...some crazy lady...

...and that crazy lady made these poor kids walk across part of the bridge...POOR POOR kids!

Either way, John and I loved it and were so glad we took a couple of days to tour SF. John said that next time...we go with NO kids! I agree!

Oakland-

On our way from San Francisco to LA we decided to stop in Oakland and see the temple there. It was absolutely gorgeous! We walked around the grounds and took in the sights. There is just nothing as peaceful as walking the temple grounds on a Sunday afternoon with the family.
What great kids I have and boy aren't they gorgeous?!
